What You’ll Be Doing
As our Workshop Controller, you will split your time between leading our brand‑new workshop operations and stepping onto the floor for hands‑on mechanical work when required:
* Manage daily workshop flow, allocate jobs, delegate tasks to technicians, and oversee strict quality control.
* Handle end‑to‑end manufacturer and internal warranty claims accurately.
* Step in to assist the team with vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and mechanical repairs during peak times.
* Ensure all tablet‑based digital job cards and vehicle health checks (VHC) are completed efficiently.
* Drive workshop productivity and efficiency while maintaining strict health and safety compliance.
What We Need
* Experience: Proven track record as a Senior Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, or Workshop Mechanic ready for the next step in their career.
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) with strong diagnostic skills.
* Management Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a team, coordinate workflow, and handle vehicle warranty claims.
* Compliance: A full, clean UK driving license is essential.
