The role
AsBusiness Analyst you willplay a crucial role in ensuring a thorough and common understanding of the business’s needs and ensuring the design of technical and non-technical solutions to deliver on these objectives in a timely manner. You areinvolved in all phases of change delivery through initial scoping and planning, through process and requirements analysis, solution design, testing and implementation.
Responsibilities:
* Carefully identifying and managing the relevant stakeholders for the project to ensure that their needs are considered and that their expectations are managed.
* Fostering effective communication and collaboration with both business and IT stakeholders, ensuring their active involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensuring early engagement of the relevant 'specialist' stakeholders such as Service Delivery, Info Sec, Data SMEs, and others.
* Accurately planning and estimating the business analysis work required on the project to inform the project plan.
* Facilitating the definition and agreement of a realistic scope of requirements with stakeholders and the project team and ensuring that this scope is carefully managed throughout the project.
* Ensuring all areas of scope are identified via thorough impact assessment (including people, processes, org & technology impacts).
* Working with business and technology stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are elicited and documented to a sufficient level of accuracy and detail for development.
* Producing clear, accurate and thorough business analysis artefacts such as business, technical, functional, and non-functional requirements, business process models, data models, use cases, use case models, context diagrams, business activity models etc.
* Ensuring that requirements are validated, verified, and approved in accordance with the requirements management and project delivery methodologies.
* Aligning requirements to the technologies required to deliver the solution to ensure that required system changes are well understood.
* Specifying functional and non-functional requirements (including customer journeys & screen designs where necessary) via user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring all scenarios (both standard and exceptions paths) are captured.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
* Experience of undertaking Business Analysis activities in a fast-paced Change environment
* Experienced in the use of BA tools and techniques to produce BA Artefacts such as business requirements documents, functional specifications, process maps, and models.
* Good understanding of all stages of project and SDLC lifecycles
* Experience of Agile delivery methodologies including Scrum, Kanban and artefacts such as user stories and acceptance criteria.
* Ability to create and maintain good relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, as well as resolving issues.
* Strong customer awareness and focus on good customer outcomes to ensure that customer needs are at the forefront of decision making to deliver fair outcomes.
* Experience working with and understanding data and Workshop facilitation skills.
Desirable knowledge & Experience:
* Professional certification in Business Analysis
* Retail Banking Experience
* Financial service domain knowledge
* Knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, or similar collaborative tools
