The Package
* Starting salary of £20,350 - £24,985 per year (depending on age)
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 6:00pm; Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm (hours may fluctuate)
* 42 hours per week
* Paid weekend overtime as required

Role Overview
As a Construction Materials Technician Apprentice, you will test construction materials, help improve existing products, and assist in modernizing materials testing with new technologies. You will develop understanding and practical skills in material examination, including non-destructive testing, ensuring safety and quality standards are met to maintain UKAS accreditation.
Responsibilities
* Test properties of materials like concrete, aggregates, cement, grout, and admixtures.
* Assist in product performance improvements and technological advancements.
* Travel to sites to collect samples and perform testing.
* Follow safety and testing standards to support laboratory accreditation.
* Work towards a 21-month Level 3 apprenticeship, ensuring safety, quality, and equipment maintenance.
* Engage in training, assessments, and professional development activities.

Potential career progression includes roles such as Technician Scientist, Senior Technician, Laboratory Manager, Materials Engineer, and Project Lead.
Candidate Profile
Looking for proactive, collaborative individuals with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. You must be 18+, hold a full UK driving license, have access to a car, and be willing to travel. Prior experience is valued but not essential; attitude and motivation are key.
