Mental Health Support - Basildon
We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Support Worker, Behaviour TA or SEMH LSA to join our team.

The School
Reeson Education is recruiting for a specialist setting providing quality education for children with complex backgrounds, mental health issues and sometimes challenging behaviour. Pupils may have Anxiety, Depression, Self harm, Autism, AHDH, ODD and Schizophrenia. They require a strong and resilient support worker who will be patient, caring, understanding, firm and fair.
Person Specification
* Previous experience of supporting students with SEN, mental health and/or challenging behaviour
* Confident, calm and collected in a school environment
* Knowledgeable of the UK curriculum
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedure
* Reliable & punctual
* Ability to risk assess and follow instructions
* Ability to build rapport with individual pupils
Responsibilities
* Support a small class of around 3-6 students
* Support the teacher in delivering the learning objectives for the lesson
* Use resources to help each student understand and engage in lessons
* Provide pastoral support, emotional guidance and serve as a positive role model
