Are you a driven B2B sales professional with experience selling into hospitality or foodservice? Do you have a background in fresh meat, poultry, or deli supply and thrive in a target-driven environment?
We are partnering with an ambitious and fast-growing halal food supplier in Reading that is transforming the quality and reliability of Muslim-orientated and halal food supply chains.
They are now seeking a Business Development Executive to drive new customer acquisition across independent and mid-sized hospitality and foodservice accounts.
The Opportunity
This is a genuine growth role — not account management disguised as sales.
You will:
* Convert a strong pipeline of warm inbound leads
* Identify and win new B2B customers across hospitality & foodservice
* Promote premium halal meat & poultry products
* Drive product sampling, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
* Build long-term commercial partnerships
* Provide market and competitor intelligence to leadership
You will work closely with operations and customer service to ensure smooth onboarding and long‑term retention.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for:
* Proven experience in B2B business development
* Experience selling meat, poultry, fresh produce or similar FMCG into hospitality/foodservice
* Demonstrable track record of winning new business and hitting targets
* Strong negotiation and objection‑handling skills
* Confident communicator and persuasive presenter
* Highly organised with strong follow‑up discipline
* Comfortable with some travel to meet customers
