Job Title: Lead Cloud / DevOps Engineer
Location: Leeds / Hybrid, 2x days per week
Salary: £80,000-£100,000 + benefits
This is an excellent opportunity for a Cloud / DevOps Engineer seeking a full-time role within a modern, technology consultancy. You\'ll work on impactful client projects, building scalable, cloud-native infrastructure while expanding your skills across automation, IaC, and modern DevOps practices.
Responsibilities
* Design, build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure or GCP.
* Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration.
* Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
* Support the operation of distributed systems, ensuring reliability, performance and security.
* Contribute coding expertise in languages such as Python, Go or JavaScript.
* Collaborate closely with clients and cross-functional teams, providing clarity and technical guidance throughout delivery.
* Troubleshoot complex technical issues using structured debugging and problem-solving approaches.
* Promote cloud-native best practices and modern DevOps tooling within engineering teams.
Requirements
* Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
* Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and modern technical stacks.
* Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
* Experience with CI/CD tooling and automation platforms.
* Practical programming experience in at least one mainstream language (Python, Go, JavaScript).
* Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security principles and distributed systems.
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS).
* Strong leadership skills and mentorship experience
* Strong communication, teamwork and stakeholder collaboration skills.
* Analytical mindset with attention to detail, able to work effectively in evolving, complex environments.
