The Opportunity
You will be working alongside an unrivalled community of experts, supported from the outset. Arup’s portfolio spans integrated landscape and public realm projects, coastal defence schemes, water projects focusing on flood resilience, Green and Blue Infrastructure projects and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. You will have the opportunity to help generate social value and tangible benefits through landscape design and planning, and benefit from an integrated interdisciplinary approach as part of the wider Cities, Planning and Design portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Work within a team, presenting and resolving complex design issues.
* Support project delivery from strategic scale down to fine resolution planting schemes and construction detailing.
* Contribute to baseline studies, visioning and feasibility studies, concept design development, report writing and layout, and technical awareness in detail design of landscape and public realm.
Qualifications
* A degree and/or a post graduate diploma or MA in Landscape Architecture, or a related subject such as Architecture, Geography or Environmental Science, with demonstrated relevance to the role.
* Confidence in designing landscapes from strategic scale down to fine resolution planting schemes and construction detailing.
* Understanding of Landscape Architecture as spanning landscape design, management and planning.
* Exceptional design skills including building and analysing baseline information, visioning and feasibility studies, concept design development, report writing and layout, and technical awareness in detail design of landscape and public realm.
* A genuine enthusiasm for working in and promoting landscape as a profession, using a systems approach to shape a better world for people and nature in balance.
Tools & Technical Skills
Hands‑sketching, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, ArcGIS, MS Office.
Start Date
You should be able to start in September 2026.
