About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and adaptable practitioners to deliver personalised 1:1 support to young people with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs.

This is a community-based role, working beyond traditional classrooms to create safe, engaging, and meaningful learning experiences.


You will

* Deliver tailored intervention sessions
* Build positive and consistent relationships with young people
* Monitor progress and report safeguarding concerns
* Complete risk assessments and maintain accurate records
* Work collaboratively with families, professionals, and regional teams


Who We’re Looking For

You may come from education, youth work, healthcare, social care, coaching, uniformed services, or other people-focused backgrounds.

We value empathy, resilience, creativity, and the ability to build trust with vulnerable young people.


Essential Requirements

* Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience
* Experience supporting young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs, ADHD, Speech and Language
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* Right to work in the UK
* Availability for at least 3 weekdays during daytime hours
* ADHD / ADD Experience
* Knowledge of Thrive Approach
* Challenging Behaviour


Desirable

* Teaching or therapeutic qualifications – experience at KS2 level
* SALT knowledge
* Experience of supporting speech and language
* Safeguarding or de-escalation training
* Knowledge of ADHD, ASD, PDA and trauma-informed practice


Practicalities

* Flexible opportunities based on location and student match
* £16–£25 per hour for lead roles, plus agreed expenses
* Monday–Friday daytime availability required
* Consistent availability is essential to provide stability for young people
