Job Responsibilities
The post holder will be a mobile operative and engineer responsible for responding to and completing repairs as directed. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, responsive repairs, void works, and other similar activities within domestic and other properties. You will utilize all aspects of your specialist trade and secondary/multi trades as well as your excellent analytical skills in diagnosing faults and implementing remedies on the first visit to the property as much as possible.
You will ensure that maintenance works are completed safely to SHE requirements, delivered efficiently and to a professionally high standard; working flexibly, alone or within a team and completing works within required timescales and deadlines.
You will also contribute to the ongoing development and skills through supporting trainees, apprentices, and other professional development.
The post holder will also, as required, provide an out-of-hours service provision on a rota or other basis.
Utilizing mobile technology (PDA), the post holder, as well as having robust time management, an eye for detail, and the ability to provide excellent and empathetic customer-focused services to a broad range of customers and residents, will be able to develop relationships with colleagues, have agility, multitask, and genuinely care about contributing to positive outcomes.
