Role Overview
The Management Accountant will play a key role in the Finance Directorate, supporting the University's financial operations through accurate reporting, analysis, and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and present monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
* Maintain financial ledgers and process journals in line with reporting standards.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting to external regulatory bodies.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and contribute to statutory returns.
* Collaborate with internal teams including Finance Business Partners and Research Grants Operations.
* Lead and supervise team members, contributing to service delivery and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Relevant accountancy qualification (or progress toward one).
* Strong analytical skills.
* Experience in management accounting within a complex organization.
