Job Description
A typical day will involve completing eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service examinations. You will work alongside our Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching and maintaining departmental standards.
Due to our extended service contracts with the NHS, we deliver a wide range of care for eye conditions and support you in gaining any additional accreditations required to provide these services.

With support from in‑store, regional and home office teams, you will have access to expert advice and support for all clinical and service‑based queries.
Responsibilities
As a registered Optometrist you will:
* Deliver comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings and extended service care
* Co‑operate with the Dispensing Optician Manager and staff to maintain high standards and comply with health and safety regulations
* Assist in training, coaching and mentoring colleagues
* Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with NHS and company procedures
* Apply evidence‑based practice and keep up to date with clinical guidance
* Supervise student opticians, where appropriate
Qualifications & Requirements
* Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
* Registered performer with the NHS area team or health board
* MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to obtain accreditation within 12 months of joining (includes funded support)
* On track to meet statutory CPD points requirements
* Strong commitment to delivering high quality customer experience
* Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping department culture
