We are working on behalf of a high-growth, UK-based FMCG distribution and brand management business to appoint a commercially driven Product Development Manager.
This organisation operates across B2B channels, partnering with global manufacturers to deliver both branded and private label products into a wide network.
This is a strategic and hands-on position responsible for owning and developing a diverse consumer product portfolio. You will drive sales growth, margin performance, and successful new product development across multiple categories. You’ll act as a key link between suppliers, internal commercial teams, and external partners, ensuring products are optimised for performance across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop an existing FMCG product portfolio, identifying opportunities for growth and optimisation
Conduct range reviews, competitor benchmarking, and market analysis to inform commercial decisions
Lead new product development (NPD) from concept to launch, including packaging, positioning, and forecasting
Collaborate with marketing partners to deliver trade and consumer marketing campaigns
Negotiate with suppliers and brand partners to secure favourable pricing, investment, and terms
Support wider commercial teams with product insights, pricing, and presentations
Ensure strong cross-functional alignment with sales, supply chain, and customer service teams
About You
Proven experience in product development, category management, or brand management within FMCG
Strong commercial acumen with a clear understanding of margin, pricing, and retail dynamics
Experience working within a multi-channel distribution or B2B environment
Highly analytical, with strong Excel and presentation skills
