Employee Relations Contract Manager Maritime and Coastguard Agency Apply before 11:55 pm on Sunday 13th July 2025 Location: Southampton (Hybrid) Salary: £34,233 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97% Contract Type: Permanent – Flexible working, Full-time, Job share, Part-time This new and varied opportunity is part of the MCA HR’s Employee Relations team and will work collaboratively with MCA and Department for Transport (DfT) leaders to enable the DfT Group HR Model. The role holder will be responsible for the effective delivery of the MCA’s Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Programme contracts, as well as the associated HR policies and procedures. Top Responsibilities * The day-to-day management of the MCA’s Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Programme contracts, acting as an escalation point to ensure fit for purpose provisions that are aligned to business need. * To ensure robust service levels agreements and a high level of governance, attending regular relationship meetings to address concerns and drive continual improvement. * Collaborate with the Employee Relations Lead to carry out relevant procurement activities including needs assessments, supplier selection and embedding new contracts. * Work with both external and internal stakeholders to ensure fit for purpose health standards and fitness tests and associated procedures are in place for operational roles, overseeing the managed recall service provided by Occupational Health. About you To succeed in this role, you have experience of managing a HR related service delivery contract, including monitoring supplier performance and reviewing the terms of contracts and/or service level agreements. You are a natural communicator with strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills. You are comfortable in having challenging conversations and providing direction when needed. You have the ability to establish relationships quickly, with a wide range of internal and external senior stakeholders. If not already held, the successful post holder will be required to work towards a CIPD qualification (Level 5) when in post.
