Person Specification
Qualifications
* Undergraduate Degree in Paramedic Science
* Working towards or signed off formally within the clinical pillar competencies of the paramedic FCP and or AP roadmap to practice
* Maintain UK Registrations (Allied Health Professional / Independent Non-Medical Prescriber)
* Urgent Care
* Long Term Conditions
* A prescribing qualification would also be desirable.
Experience
* Relevant clinical experience post-registration
* Recent secondary care, primary care or community experience
* Management of minor illness, minor ailments and injuries
* Clinical triage
* Compiling procedures and clinical guidelines
* Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
* Demonstrable experience of using diagnostic skills.
* Project management
* Health needs assessment
* Experience in a primary care or community setting is desirable.
Skills and Knowledge
* Communication skills, both written and verbal
* Communication of difficult messages to patients and families
* Negotiation and conflict management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Management of patients with long term conditions
* Management of patients with complex needs
* Accountability of own role and other roles in a primary care setting
