Senior Quantity Surveyor Newport, South Wales Up to £90,000 + Comprehensive Package

We're representing a well-established, fast-growing main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex industrial and distribution schemes nationwide. With a strong pipeline of secured work in South Wales, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on new build industrial projects in Newport.
The Role
You'll be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of large-scale industrial builds — from pre-construction through to final account — working closely with operational teams and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.
Projects typically include:
* Large distribution centres
* Logistics hubs
* Manufacturing and warehouse facilities
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial management of new build industrial projects
* Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
* Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
* Preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts
* Contract administration (primarily JCT)
* Risk management and value engineering
* Mentoring junior members of the commercial team
About You
* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
* Strong background delivering new build industrial / logistics projects
* Excellent contractual knowledge (JCT essential)
* Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills
* Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
* Able to manage projects independently and liaise confidently with clients
