Job Title: Housing Officer
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Rate: £27.69 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: 3-month ongoing contract
Working pattern: 2-3 days per week in the office
Role Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Housing Officer to manage a patch of approximately 400 properties in Brentwood, Essex. This is a hands‑on role covering core housing management functions, ideal for a proactive officer who can work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a patch of around 400 properties
* Rent arrears management and recovery
* Carrying out estate inspections
* Completing tenancy audits and visits
* Managing tenancy issues including breaches and enforcement
* General tenancy management and resident support
Key Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or similar
* Strong experience in arrears recovery and tenancy management
* Ability to manage a large patch effectively
* Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
