A dedicated and high-achieving primary school in Preston is seeking a talented Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This full-time role is ideal for a strong KS2 practitioner who thrives on responsibility, challenge, and making a real impact during pupils’ final year before secondary school.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will:
* Deliver high-quality, structured lessons across the upper KS2 curriculum
* Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and transition to Year 7
* Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development
* Track and assess progress, ensuring every child reaches their potential
* Work closely with the KS2 team to maintain consistency and high standards
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from teachers who have:
* Upper KS2 teaching experience (Year 6 experience desirable, not essential)
* Strong curriculum knowledge and confident behaviour management
* QTS – ECTs and fully qualified teachers encouraged to apply
* A proactive, resilient, and motivational teaching style
* The ability to inspire pupils during a crucial stage of their learning journey
