About the Role
We are a small, agile fashion design and development team working closely with brands to bring their collections to life. As an Assistant Garment Technologist, you'll play a hands-on role in ensuring samples and production meet technical and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and maintain measurement charts, QC files, sampling files, and technical documentation.
· Carry out sample assessments including measurements, reviews, and records.
· Provide clear feedback to factories and maintain an issues tracker.
· Support critical path management and technical approvals.
· Use agreed systems, spreadsheets, and templates to complete tasks efficiently.
Essential Skills & Attributes
· Exceptional attention to detail, with accuracy in every task.
· Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and technical specifications.
· Skilled in creating measurement charts and reading measurements from patterns.
· Confident in conducting detailed sample assessments and recording findings clearly.
· Ability to identify recurring issues, suggest practical solutions, and prevent repeat problems.
· Proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving and process improvement.
· Efficient, organised, and able to prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
· Able to work independently, making good use of resources before seeking support.
· Clear, professional communicator with factories, suppliers, and internal team.
· Understands the commercial importance of efficiency and accuracy within product development.
· Demonstrates openness to feedback and commitment to applying it constructively.
Beneficial Skills (not essential, but an advantage)
· Pattern cutting (from measurements, copying reference samples, and adjusting blocks).
· Client liaison and communication.
· Procurement, buying and costing experience.
Working Hours
· Full-time, in person.
· 40 Hours
· Probation (first 3 months): 10:30am – 7:00pm (later start possible; 10:30am is the earliest start).
· Post-probation: hours can be adjusted to suit your lifestyle, with two fixed days — Mondays and Wednesdays remain 10:30am – 7:00pm (or later) to align with studio space availability.
