Salary: GBP28999 - GBP29000 per annum
Purpose of the Role
The duties of the Quality Control Technician include performing sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation for Concrete, Asphalt, and Quarry products in accordance with relevant British standards and company procedures. You will work as part of a team with remote supervision, maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
Key Accountabilities
* Carry out sampling, field testing, and specimen preparation of Concrete, Asphalt, and Quarry products following relevant British/European standards and company procedures.
* Investigate and provide feedback to technical and operations teams on quality issues at relevant sites and depots, including but not limited to:
o Concrete sampling, testing, and preparation
o Asphalt sampling, testing, and preparation
o Aggregate sampling, testing, and preparation
o Preliminary plant or customer site investigations
o Preliminary investigation of product issues
o Review of water demands in RMC, including plant M.C testing
o Review of site practices
o Review of truck delivery practices/issues
o Review product consistency variances
Raise NCRs and Near Hits as appropriate. Challenge behaviors demonstrating a negative attitude towards safety and/or quality. Assist with transportation of test specimens.
