Clinical Support Worker Facilitator
The Clinical Support Worker Facilitator provides support, guidance and lived experience to new Clinical Support Workers (CSWs) undertaking their care certification. The role collaborates with the HCSW educator, the wider education team, clinical practice educators, ward managers and other key staff to support the delivery of the care certificate. This includes ensuring safe, responsive and compassionate care delivery for unregistered practitioners within PAHT.
Main duties of the job
* Assist new and existing HCSWs in the multi‑professional care certificate programme.
* Ensure completion and assessment of the care certificate within the first 6 months.
* Work alongside the practice educator for HCSWs and coordinate with the clinical non‑medical education team.
* Serve as a positive role model for junior staff members.
* Support the HCSW educator in certification and coordination of the care certificate during induction.
* Focus on safe and effective care delivery and achievement of core competencies.
Qualifications
* Level 4 Maths and English (e.g., GCSE A–C or 14 or equivalent)
* Level 5 education, foundation degree or equivalent (Level D)
Experience
* Extensive experience working in a clinical environment
* Experience of supervision and pastoral support for healthcare support workers and students in practice settings
* Experience of adapting to diverse learning needs, inclusion and implementing Trust values into practice
* Ability to contribute to personal development and that of others
* Experience in quality improvement or change projects
