Your Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Engine Technical Department as an Electrical Supervisor. Reporting to the Vice President Engine Operations, the Electrical Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting operations involving the maintenance of the ship's electrical equipment, facilities, and systems, including propulsion and PMS.
Your Impact
* Manage and oversee all electrical technical activities related to the management and operation of owned vessels.
* Conduct ship visits to ensure vessels are maintained to high standards and comply with current regulations and company standards.
* Coordinate all electrical maintenance activities with external technical services and internal crew actions.
* Ensure reports and repair specifications are accurate and reflect the condition of the ships, and that repairs meet required standards.
* Coordinate Dry-Dock activities arising from the electrical maintenance program.
* Review and update electrical maintenance schedules based on ship survey findings.
* Manage maintenance costs within approved budgets and financial limits.
* Review and approve technical specifications for new builds, refits, and repairs, including attending FATs.
* Manage crises arising from unexpected technical issues.
* Conduct troubleshooting with ship staff and equipment manufacturers.
Your Journey so far
* Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar.
* Minimum of ten years relevant experience, or at least six years as a superintendent or similar role onboard cruise ships (1st ETO / Chief Electrician).
* Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage (11.0 kV and 6.6 kV), 440V, 220V, 24V, 12V, and electronics.
* Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and control work processes effectively.
* Preferred experience with ABB/GE Marine High Voltage Equipment and related systems.
* Strong understanding of high voltage safety protocols.
* Familiarity with electrical standards such as IEC, IEEE, API, IMO MODU, SOLAS, and class regulations (BV, RINA).
* Problem-solving skills and collaborative mindset.
* Willingness and ability to travel worldwide onboard.
* Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus.
