We are seeking Locum Hostel Assistant to support our team at Lucy Adams House. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the safety and security of the hostel environment while assisting residents on their journey towards independent living. We own and manage c.8,000 homes in the east of England, working closely with other agencies and stakeholders within our communities. We build on the good foundations we have in place in being a customer-centric organisation, investing in our existing homes - including our zero-carbon journey - as well as building new homes. Please note: this role is on a 0 hour contract Requirements Outline of key responsibilities Ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors, and staff, including monitoring the premises and controlling access. Enforce hostel rules and report any incidents or breaches to the Management and Support Team. Assist in preparing rooms for new residents and maintaining good housekeeping standards. Support the development of residents' social and independent living skills in collaboration with the support team. Manage inventory and stock items through appropriate systems. We are looking for someone who has Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work empathetically with residents. Understanding of homelessness issues and the challenges faced by vulnerable individuals. Computer literate with the capability to learn and use new IT systems effectively. Commitment to confidentiality and data protection principles. Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability to meet the demands of the role. A genuine desire to assist residents in progressing towards independent living.
