About the job
You’ll join a highly motivated team to assess life insurance, income protection, terminal illness, and critical illness cover insurance claims—from investigation to keeping customers informed and through to claim outcome—providing outstanding customer service.
You’ll operate efficiently across multiple systems, propose process improvements, and adapt to evolving technologies to boost performance. The role involves collecting essential claim details, managing communications, and referring complex issues to specialists when appropriate.
You’ll engage with customers to assess claims, offer assistance, and handle sensitive outcomes with understanding and care. Maintaining clear communication, developing stakeholder relationships, staying informed on industry developments, guiding colleagues, and participating in training and projects are also key responsibilities.

Skills and experience
* A broad knowledge of life-related products, such as life insurance, critical illness, income protection, and terminal illness. Knowledge of legal aspects relevant to claims, such as probate and CIDRA rules.
* The ability to manage claims from start to finish, including signing out claims independently and working autonomously.
* Experience dealing with reinsurers and medical officers, as well as handling misrepresentation as outlined in ABI guidelines.
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a desire to deliver high-quality service and a commitment to performance.
* Ability to prioritize effectively, anticipate problems, and make decisions confidently with an excellent eye for detail.
