An opportunity to be a Commercial Management Accountant for an actively growing company in Bristol. This is an exciting new role, perfect for a hands-on management accountant to expand their skills and progress within their career. This is a varied, Commercial Management Accountant Role which involves:
 * Oversee the month-end close process, including reviewing and approving journal entries prepared by junior team members.
 * Prepare interim and annual financial statements for multiple entities within the division.
 * Manage the external audit process, ensuring all requirements are met and deadlines achieved.
 * Lead overhead and cost forecasting as part of the quarterly reforecasting and annual budgeting cycles.
 * Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accuracy and financial control.
 * Produce and submit consolidated management reporting packs to the head office.
 * Perform credit and risk assessments for clients and subcontractors.
 * Support tender and bid processes by providing financial analysis and insights to project teams.
 * Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns, providing tax compliance advice as required.
 * Collate financial information for corporate tax returns and liaise with external advisers to resolve queries.
 * Review other tax submissions and employee-related returns.
 * Supervise and develop assistant accountants, overseeing daily activities and providing guidance and support.

The role is based in a newly established, modern office that operates on a hybrid model, with three days in the office. What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
 * Fully qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
 * Strong understanding of management accounts preparation and financial reporting
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
 * Capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
 * Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate and reliable financial information
