We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Marina and Site Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Town Quay in Southampton. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day to day operation and maintenance of our marina facilities and surrounding site infrastructure. This is a one year fixed term contract working a four on four off (Days 0700-1900) shift pattern with flexibility to cover additional shifts in line with local working arrangements. Responsibilities Responsible for day to day running of marina operations including moving, berthing of craft as required, taking of payments from visitors and berth holders. Responsible for security of Town Quay. Administration/office based duties as required. Effective communication within the team to achieve continuity, standardization and customer focus across all team members and shifts. Maintain and develop the highest standard of customer experience and brand representation in line with marketing strategy. Carry out planned and ad hoc maintenance works (minor plumbing, minor electrical, painting and carpentry etc.). Ensure ABP H&S policies are adhered too. Any other duties that may be deemed to be within your capabilities and commensurate with your role. Skills, experiences, qualifications and competencies Essential Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a marina or port environment. Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques and the ability to use hand and power tools effectively. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team and deal with customer queries and issues. Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and to undertake physical tasks as required. Good IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to use new systems.
