Overview:
Primary schools in Macclesfield and the surrounding area are seeking reliable, adaptable, and confident cover teachers to support with planned and unplanned staff absences. These flexible roles are ideal for qualified teachers looking to work across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, without the added responsibility of planning and marking.
This is a great opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to gain varied classroom experience and develop strong relationships with local schools.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-prepared lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on the school’s requirements.
Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment in line with school behaviour policies.
Keep pupils engaged, on task, and supported throughout the lesson.
Adapt quickly to different school settings and year groups.
Leave feedback for the class teacher and/or leadership team at the end of the day.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching in UK primary schools.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Flexible, reliable, and professional approach.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Legal right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
