Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. Duties
* Assist with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
* Support clients with their care plans, ensuring individual needs are met effectively
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a respectful environment
* Help with medication management under supervision, adhering to safety protocols
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client conditions
* Support clients with light domestic tasks, including meal preparation and light cleaning
* Facilitate communication between clients, families, and healthcare professionals
* Assist with transportation for appointments or outings when required, utilising driving skills
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
* Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation duties
* Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: £12.70-£29.16 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 48 per week
Work Location: In person
