Offer description

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join our specialist team at FCHO. This role plays a vital part in managing and resolving cases of anti-social behaviour (ASB) and housing fraud, ensuring compliance with FCHO policies and legal frameworks. You will lead investigations, support legal proceedings, and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver effective interventions. Your work will contribute directly to safer, more cohesive communities, while upholding FCHO's values and commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding.

Key Duties

* Manage ASB and housing cases from initial complaint through to resolution, including legal action and court attendance.
* Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of ASB and tenancy fraud, ensuring evidence is robust and well-documented.
* Provide specialist advice and support to colleagues across the organisation to prevent tenancy breaches and promote early intervention.
* Build and maintain effective partnerships with external agencies such as the Police, Council, and community safety teams to coordinate multi-agency responses.
* Prepare and present cases for legal proceedings, including drafting witness statements and acting as a professional witness in court.
* Assess victim vulnerability and ensure appropriate support is in place for residents affected by ASB.
* Support community engagement, working with resident groups to promote safety and influence local initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and equality policies, and contribute to service development through training and policy updates.

* Salary £35,005 per annum
* A 37-hour working week

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate

* Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving complex issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting to varied audiences.
* Highly organised with effective time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and case management tools.
* Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences and situations.
* Constructive conflict resolution skills and the ability to work independently when required.
* Demonstrated experience in managing ASB cases from initial complaint through to legal resolution, including preparation of court documentation.
* Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively within a team.
* Experience working with vulnerable groups and external support agencies, including mental health, domestic abuse, and community safety partners.

Qualifications & Requirements

* BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Neighbourhood Nuisance and ASB Case Working or equivalent qualification.
* Sound knowledge of Housing Law and Anti-Social Behaviour legislation.
* Enhanced DBS check required.
* Clean, current UK driving licence.
* Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
