Rotational Clerical Officer – Band 2
Job Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Community Administration service to provide relief cover throughout Tameside and Glossop. This post works across all localities, providing full clerical support to Health Care Professional teams based within community clinics.
Responsibilities:
* Act as the first point of contact for all community service users, dealing professionally with a range of enquiries in person, by phone or email.
* Provide welcoming and professional first impressions for patients and Healthcare Professionals at community clinic reception desks.
* Undertake a full range of clerical tasks and support Health Care Professional teams in community settings.
* Work independently and as part of a team across multiple clinic sites, covering all locality sites as required.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* English and Maths GCSE, CSE, Level 1 or A‑C or above, or equivalent experience.
* Car driver licence and ability to travel across the service area.
Desirable Qualifications
* PowerPoint skills.
* Experience with general office duties.
Essential Knowledge
* IT skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Essential Experience
* Knowledge of secretarial procedures.
* Reception duties – answering the phone and providing customer service.
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience working with the general public.
Essential Skills & Abilities
* Typing/IT skills (email, word processing and file management).
* Good communication and excellent telephony skills.
* Flexibility to cope with changing needs of the job.
* Eager to learn new skills.
