You and the role

We are seeking a 0.8 to 1 WTE Clinical or Forensic Psychologist, with experience from qualified psychologist (band 8a) to a consultant psychologist, who is HCPC registered and has experience or interest in working with complex and challenging patient groups.

The ward: Acquired Brain Injury (Rose ward)

Rose is a 16-bed forensic neuropsychiatry unit for men with neurological and mental health conditions requiring neurobehavioral rehabilitation in a forensic setting. Diagnoses include acquired or traumatic brain injury, dementia, stroke, epilepsy, Huntington’s disease, possibly with learning disabilities, psychosis, or personality disorder. We pride ourselves on managing the most complex cases.

Psychology is highly valued and integrated within a multidisciplinary team. The post involves developing, delivering, and evaluating assessments and formulation-led interventions. You will join a motivated team using approaches including CBT, Schema, CFT, EMDR, DBT, and trauma-informed care, in both individual and group formats.

Opportunities include joint professional work, reflective practice, supervision, support, training, and research. We support innovation and professional development, including potential qualifications in neuropsychology. Staff wellbeing is a priority, recognizing the importance of self-care for practitioners.

In return

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 38 days holiday, NHS-standard sickness policy, car lease scheme, free parking, cycle-to-work scheme, healthcare discounts, employee support, and opportunities for research, training, and CPD.
