I'm currently working with a fabulous leading UK Law firm looking to expand their Conflicts function. This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned Conflicts expert (5+ years’ experience) to join a firm that is well and truly investing in their compliance function.
With a goal to expand the function over the next 12-18 months there's a great opportunity for progression and development, and having a key hand in shaping the future of the conflicts function.
The Role
As a Senior Conflicts Officer, you will play a critical role in managing complex conflict checks and regulatory compliance across a broad range of practice areas. You’ll support fee earners and partners on high-value, multi-jurisdictional matters, providing timely, commercial advice that ensures best-in-class client service while protecting the firm’s reputation.
* Reviewing new client and matter intake for conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and risk.
* Analysing complex conflict scenarios and escalating where appropriate.
* Advising stakeholders on risk management and regulatory compliance.
* Contributing to the development of internal policies and training.
* Acting as a trusted mentor to junior team members.
About You?
Minimum 5 years’ experience in conflicts, within a UK or international law firm. Strong working knowledge of SRA rules, professional conduct, and guidelines. Exceptional analytical skills with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive environment with scope for growth and progression.
