unybrands acquires e-commerce businesses that sell both on and off Amazon. Once acquired, these brands are integrated into unybrands' platform, where operations are optimized, business performance is enhanced, and expansion into new product lines and markets is driven. Currently we have acquired 30 brands including Pet Care, Personal Care, Home Care, Supplements, Baby & Juvenile, Garden & Outdoor, Sports & Fitness, and Home, Lifestyle Culinary & Arts. Through expert management and robust infrastructure, unybrands empowers e-commerce brands to scale and thrive.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead the preparation and completion of unybrands' monthly financial reporting cycle
2. Analyse, interpret and report on brand and portfolio level performance – providing useful insights where possible
3. Build, enhance, and automate internal reporting dashboards and processes to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights
4. Assist CFO, FP&A team, and other key executives on Board and investor updates, presentation materials, and analyses
5. Support FP&A team and finance business partners around corporate-level financial decision-making, target setting, budget planning, and defining investment requirements
6. Corporate development: provide end-to-end support on capital raising and M&A transactions (buy-side or sell-side)
7. Other business initiatives: engage and collaborate with company leaders and other functional leads to support – in conjunction with finance business partners – robust business analysis. Deepen the wider organization's ability to back-up key initiatives and proposals with robust financial analysis
Requirements
8. Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a related field
9. 1-2 years of work experience in relevant fields including finance teams or for accounting firms/investment banks
10. Proven track record of leading and delivering internal finance reporting projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with cross-functional business needs
11. Demonstrates strong ownership and a proactive mindset, anticipating needs, driving initiatives forward independently, and consistently following through to achieve results
12. Exceptional analytical skills, verbal and written communication skills in English
13. Ability to coordinate, manage, and clearly communicate with diverse stakeholders across all levels and functions of the organization
14. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an Entrepreneurial mindset
15. Experience in handling and analyzing large datasets would be a plus
16. Strong understanding of financial statement structure
17. Proficiency in MS Excel
18. Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to collaborate with a globally-dispersed, diverse team of colleagues
