Main Purpose of Role
We are looking for a proactive and well-rounded Trade Marketing Manager with hands‑on experience across the full marketing mix in the B2B environment to lead and manage marketing strategy for our trade and distribution channel across the UK.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this key role will focus on driving growth and expanding market presence within the electrical wholesale, plumbers merchant, and trade distribution sectors, targeting installers, electricians and contractors involved in the purchase and installation of Dimplex products.
As the Trade Marketing Manager, you will also take charge of managing the Dimplex PRO Installer Club loyalty programme, ensuring that it delivers value to installers and contributes to increasing product sales. Additionally, you will drive the PR strategy for the trade channel, maximising opportunities to enhance brand visibility and market position.
This role is a mix of strategic planning and execution, with responsibility for both long‑term marketing strategies and day‑to‑day tactical activities. You will work closely with our sales, product, technical and customer experience teams, as well as the broader marketing department to create opportunities, engage customers, and enhance brand presence in the market.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the electrical wholesale and plumbers merchant market segments.
* Drive the growth of the Dimplex PRO Installer Club, strengthening engagement with electricians and contractors and increasing loyalty programme effectiveness.
* Collaborate closely with sales, product, technical and customer experience teams to identify opportunities, ensure alignment, and deliver an integrated marketing approach that supports commercial priorities.
* Lead PR activity for the trade channel, identifying opportunities to enhance brand visibility, credibility and market presence.
* Develop and create high‑quality marketing collateral and campaign assets, ensuring consistency of messaging across all touchpoints.
* Manage and optimise the trade marketing budget, ensuring spend is prioritised effectively and delivers measurable return on investment.
* Build and strengthen brand awareness for Dimplex and Xpelair across the trade audience, ensuring clear and consistent positioning in the market.
* Plan and execute promotional campaigns that support product sales, drive engagement, and add value for wholesalers, merchants and installers.
* Track, analyse and report on campaign performance, using insights to drive continuous improvement and meet agreed KPIs.
* Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers and partners to ensure high‑quality delivery of marketing activity.
* Maintain awareness of developments in decarbonisation and the wider HVAC sector, applying relevant insights to enhance trade marketing strategy.
* Support company growth by undertaking additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Essential Criteria
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Proven B2B marketing experience spanning the full marketing mix.
* Strong strategic thinking with hands‑on execution skills across both online and offline channels.
* Experience in managing or supporting loyalty or engagement programmes within a B2B or trade‑focused context.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with sales, product and wider cross‑functional teams to achieve shared goals.
* Budget management skills with the ability to prioritise resources effectively to maximise ROI.
* Ability to work flexibly in a fast‑paced environment.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear, compelling and audience‑appropriate messaging.
* Experience in planning and delivering PR activity, including content generation.
* Strong stakeholder management, with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
* Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and performance tracking.
* Proven ability to manage external agencies and suppliers to deliver high‑quality campaign outputs.
Desirable Criteria
* A degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
* Understanding of trade marketing, particularly within the electrical wholesale or related sectors.
* Previous experience within heating, ventilation, water heating or related building‑services industries.
* Interest in sustainability and familiarity with UK decarbonisation and energy‑efficiency trends.
* Working knowledge of CRM systems and digital marketing tools.
Travel
You may occasionally be required to travel across the UK to visit customers and attend events.
