Introduction
Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is committed to safeguarding and protecting adults and children from abuse. The safeguarding team supports front‑line staff and shares mental health views at MARAC to ensure multi‑agency action plans reflect mental health and care needs.
Main duties of the job
The role will predominantly consist of participating in Kent and Medway MARAC's case management system and representing KMMH professionally. It involves completing research, sharing outcomes with relevant KMMH professionals, documenting on RiO records, collating and monitoring MARAC statistics, participating in audit activity, ensuring compliance with safeguarding obligations, and delivering training events. Proficiency in IT (Excel, Word), excellent record keeping, and the ability to capture and share mental health information are essential.
Job responsibilities
* Giving and receiving feedback on training delivery and using it to develop media‑based and face‑to‑face training packages.
* Maintaining contemporaneous records and audit activity.
* Providing flexible cover when needed, including traveling and using video conferencing technology.
* Working isolated/lone to input data.
* Delivering training with confidence and enthusiasm.
The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for business purposes (unless disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
Qualifications
* Professional qualification: Nursing, social work, or allied health.
* Degree.
* Experience in mental health settings.
Experience
* Domestic abuse practice experience (e.g., training, DASH RIC, advocacy).
* Experience with Kent and Medway Local Domestic Abuse Multi‑Agency Protocol.
