Base pay range
Mobile Plant Fitter - Frog Island, Rainham
£45,432.92 per annum
41 hours per week - Mon-Fri
The successful candidate will be a certified Fitter/Mechanic responsible for repairing and maintaining mobile plant to ensure reliability and safety while minimizing downtime. Working as part of a small team, you must be willing to perform tasks outside of the role description.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing technical support to all mobile plant operations
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks around the ELWA sites
* Repairing mobile plant around the ELWA sites
* Anticipating mobile plant failures and recommending preventative measures
* Using hand tools, welding equipment, powered hand tools, and cutting equipment
* Maintaining H&S standards and completing related documentation
* Liaising with external contractors on repairs and maintenance
* Traveling and working between ELWA sites as required
Requirements
Essential criteria:
* Ability to diagnose faults, repair, and maintain machinery with a good understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
* Experience with heavy machinery or in a mechanical/autoelectrical role is beneficial
* Ability to work under pressure and collaboratively
* Team player capable of working independently and planning workload
* Clean UK driver’s license is required
