Overview
The Environment Agency is seeking two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA) directorate. The PMO focuses on creating a centralised portfolio that drives change, transformation, and continuous improvement. You will analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers, help set standards for benefits and value management, and embed them across the portfolio. This is a hands-on role with development opportunities and strong support from your team.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers to shape and optimise project portfolios.
* Help set standards for benefits and value management and embed them across the portfolio.
* Identify, value and validate project benefits and support decision-making with evidence to manage risk.
Experience/Qualifications
* Strong analytical skills with experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Clear communication skills to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation, adaptability, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Additional information
You’ll have an inclusive incident management objective in your development plan, and appropriate training will be provided. The role is based at EA Office with a national, hybrid working arrangement.
