Second Chef Catering and Hospitality - Bearehill Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £13.60 Per Hour Shift type: Days Contracted hours: 35 Bearehill Care Home is a beautiful Georgian mansion in the charming town of Brechin, surrounded by tranquil gardens and scenic wildlife. The home provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 49 residents. With its sunny conservatory, sensory garden, freshly prepared meals and warm, homely atmosphere, it is a place where residents are supported to live well and feel truly valued. Second Chef Contract £13.60 per hour Contracted to 35 hours per week Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) No late evenings or split shifts, offering a consistent working pattern and genuine work life balance, alongside ongoing training and development opportunities. Role Overview As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing. You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements. Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day. Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service.
