Full-Time | Functional Skills | September Start | Long-Term Contract
SENDhelp is working in partnership with a specialist post-16 SEN provision in West Drayton to appoint a committed and experienced SEN Tutor for a full-time position starting this September. The successful applicant will support learners aged 16-25 with special educational needs, delivering tailored Functional Skills in English and/or Maths at Entry Level 3 to Level 2, including exam preparation.

Key Responsibilities - SEN Tutor, West Drayton
As an SEN Tutor in West Drayton, you will:
* Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills lessons in Maths and/or English from Entry Level to Level 2
* Support learners in preparing for and completing Functional Skills exams
* Carry out and record initial assessments and progress reviews
* Collaborate with other staff to embed English and Maths across vocational pathways such as Horticulture and Catering
* Adapt delivery to suit the needs of learners with a range of SEN and learning difficulties
* Contribute to curriculum planning, quality assurance, and whole-centre teaching practice
Candidate Requirements
To succeed in this SEN Tutor role in West Drayton, candidates must have:
* Proven experience teaching Functional Skills English and/or Maths to learners with SEN
* Experience supporting exam preparation for Entry Level to Level 2 learners
* A recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 3 Award in Education & Training)
* GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths (Grade A-C / 9-4)
* A proactive and adaptable teaching approach
* The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* An Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
