About the Role

Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
* Preparing pupils for Key Stage 1 SATs assessments
* Supporting pupils’ development in reading, writing, and mathematics
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress through regular feedback
* Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
* Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff
* Building strong relationships with parents and carers
* Contributing to wider school activities and curriculum development
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
* Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 2
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
* Have experience preparing pupils for SATs assessments
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
* Be organised, proactive, and committed to high standards
* Work effectively within a collaborative team
