What You’ll Be Doing
As an FM Technician – Building Fabric, you will deliver both planned and reactive maintenance services across a portfolio of sites. You will play a key role in ensuring buildings remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained.
Key Responsibilities
4. Deliver planned and reactive building fabric maintenance in line with contract scope and specifications
5. Ensurepliance withpany and client Health & Safety policies
6. Respond promptly and positively to Helpdesk requests, carrying out repairs efficiently.
7. Prioritise workload to meet agreed response times, escalating delays where required
8. Order and maintain materials, tools, and equipment in line with procedures
9. Identify when specialist contractors are required and provide clear job specifications
10. Assist with surveys, inspections, and reports
11. Maintain asset registers and ensure equipment is correctly tagged
12. Represent thepany professionally, building strong relationships with Helpdesk and client teams
Core Building Fabric Maintenance Tasks
General Building
13. Roof leak repairs, including gutter and gully works
14. Flooring repairs and replacement (vinyl, ceramic tiles — training available)
15. Installation and repair of internal cladding, wall tiling, and edge protection
16. Reactive maintenance and first‑line response, including minor painting tasks
Plumbing & Drainage
17. First‑line response to plumbing and drainage issues
Joinery
18. Wall, floor, and fitting repairs
19. Ironmongery and hardware repairs/replacements
20. Internal and external door repairs, replacements, and inspections
21. Planned maintenance inspections of fire doors
What We’re Looking For
Essential
22. NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or similar
23. Full UK Driving Licence
24. Strong hands‑on experience in building fabric maintenance
Desirable
25. City & Guilds Carpentry & Joinery (6706)
26. IPAF training
27. Experience usingputer‑Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems
28. CSCS Card
29. Experience working on multi‑site contracts
