Job Description
To act as the client's on-site representative, providing assurance that civils, M&E and maintenance works delivered by contractors are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with agreed specifications, quality standards, and programme requirements.
Duties
- Health & Safety: Monitor contractor compliance, undertake inspections, challenge unsafe behaviours, support investigations.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect works, witness tests, identify defects, maintain records.
- Site Supervision & Contractor Oversight: Oversee activities, monitor workmanship, ensure planning, escalate issues.
- Programme & Productivity: Track progress, identify delays, support recovery, provide updates.
- Reporting & Governance: Produce reports, maintain records, support audit requirements.
Core Experience & Behaviours
Experience working with or within capital delivery organisations, with a practical understanding of how projects move from concept through design, construction and commissioning.
Desirable but not essential qualifications
- Site supervision or construction management, civils/infrastructure works, contractor oversight.
- Knowledge of construction methods, H&S legislation, QA processes, drawing interpretation.
- Equivalent qualifications to SMSTS, CSCS, UK driving licence.
- NEBOSH, Temporary Works, NRSWA, professional membership.
