Our client, a leading organisation in the HTP sector, is currently seeking an Engineer with Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) experience to join their team on a contract basis.

Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) Experience
This role focuses on supporting a key highways projects in the South of England, offering flexible arrangements and a rolling 6-month term outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead or support the design and assessment of sustainable drainage systems (SUDS) for highways schemes.
* Work within a multi-disciplinary design team to deliver drainage solutions in compliance with national and local standards.
* Prepare and review technical drawings, drainage models, and design reports.
* Engage with stakeholders and review planning, environmental, and regulatory constraints.
* Contribute to flood risk assessments and drainage impact studies.
Skills & Experience:
* Strong background in drainage design, particularly for highways or infrastructure projects.
* Proficiency with relevant industry software, such as:
o MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage
o AutoCAD Civil 3D
o GIS tools (desirable)
* Familiarity with current design standards and guidance (e.g., DMRB, CIRIA SuDS Manual).
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a wider team.
* Experience delivering projects under local authority frameworks or National Highways.
* Chartered or working towards chartership (CIWEM, ICE) - preferred but not essential.
