History and Politics Teacher – Hammersmith, Inner London ️ Inspire Critical Analysis in History and Current Affairs at a High-Performing Academy We are seeking an enthusiastic, academically ambitious, and committed History and Politics Teacher to join the successful Humanities faculty at a highly regarded secondary academy in the Hammersmith area of Inner West London. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026. Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 available The Opportunity The successful applicant will be an inspirational specialist capable of delivering rigorous, evidence-based lessons in History and sophisticated political analysis in the classroom. You will be joining an intellectually stimulating environment where high academic expectations and strong critical thinking skills are prioritized. This role focuses on outstanding classroom practice and contributing to the department's consistent record of placing students in Humanities, Law, and Social Science courses at top universities. To secure an exceptional candidate, this role includes a generous Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum. This financial incentive is a purely financial reward designed to support excellent teachers and their commitment to our school community. We Are Looking For: A qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). A relevant degree in History, Politics, or a closely related discipline. A proven track record as an excellent teacher with mandatory experience teaching Politics to Key Stage 5 (A-Level). A genuine passion for both subjects and the ability to inspire intellectual debate and challenge students of all abilities. The drive to contribute positively to the academic life of the school. Salary and Benefits Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS) for Teachers. The base salary will be paid according to experience within the statutory Inner London Pay Scale (The Inner London Main Pay Range minimum is approximately £40,317 as of September 2025). A fixed Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum. Excellent, structured professional development and career progression pathways.
