Office Manager
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £32,000 £35,000 per annum
Job Type:Temporary to Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Office Manager to lead our clients Peterborough office team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all office operations and managing a team of approximately 10 office-based staff, ensuring the smooth flow of orders from sales through to production and dispatch.
You will play a central role in supporting customers, coordinating internal teams, and maintaining efficient, well-organised office processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities OfficeOperations
* Oversee the day-to-day running of the office to ensure efficient and organised operations
* Develop, maintain, and improve office systems, procedures, and workflows
* Handle escalated enquiries, correspondence, and operational issues
* Coordinate communication between office, production, and dispatch teams
Team Leadership & Management
* Lead, manage, and motivate a team of around 10 office staff
* Allocate workloads, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are consistently met
* Monitor team performance, accuracy, and productivity
* Deliver onboarding, training, coaching, and ongoing support
* Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development plans
* Manage rotas, holidays, and absence cover to ensure business continuity
* Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture
Order & Production Coordination
* Oversee order processing to ensure accuracy and timely completion
* Liaise closely with production teams to manage workflow and job priorities
* Ensure artwork approvals, job tickets, and order details are correct
* Resolve order issues quickly to avoid production delays
Customer Service
* Act as a senior point of contact for customer queries and escalations
* Ensure a consistently high standard of service for retail, wholesale, and repeat customers
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar leadership role
* Demonstrable experience managing and leading a team
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Confident using office software (Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace)
Desirable:
* Experience within DTG printing, manufacturing, or production environments
* Knowledge of order processing or production workflows
