Job summary
To assist the Antenatal Screening Coordinator and/or their deputy, in the operational running of all the Antenatal Screening Programmes within the teams remit. This includes, but is not exclusively supporting screen positive women/families and maintaining and failsafing the screening pathways.
To support the Antenatal Screening coordinator and or their deputy, in delivering, with other members of the Multidisiplinaty team, an Antenatal Screening Programme within Maternity Services ensuring an infrastructure that will deliver a level of service which is equitable, evidence based and consistent with the national standards.
Counseling Women and their partners concerning screening and screen positive results for themselves.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Antenatal Screening Coordinator and/or their deputy, in ensuring that the Antenatal Screening Programmes meet locally agreed policies and protocols as well as nationally agreed standards.
To work in accordance with the agreed guidelines and policies relating to Antenatal Screening.
To work alongside the Antenatal Screening coordiantor and /or their deputy to develop and maintain monitoring tools to access and audit efficacy of service provison and quality standards.
To support the deliverery of the antenatal Screening service working within the National Screening Standards. Including covering FASP,Anomolmy, infectious disease and Haemaglobinopathy-programmes.
