About The Role
Reporting into the Financial Director, you will be responsible for supporting the management of tax affairs of the group for the EMEA region across all taxes. The EMEA tax team consists of 2 additional persons who cover both indirect and direct taxes across the region, with tax compliance support provided by a third party.
You'll Be Responsible For:
1. Ensuring the group meets & maintains its compliance obligations
2. Providing third party with data as required, and resolving any issues with data quality
3. Responding to compliance related queries
4. Review filings prior to submission
5. Support the preparation of the group’s global transfer pricing documentation and compliance requirements
6. Oversea the posting of journals and processing of payments
7. Quarterly calculations of tax provisions
You will also be responsible for providing a broad range of tax advisory services including:
8. Responding to all tax audits – internal, external and tax authorities
9. Lead implementation of Pillar 2 across EMEA
10. Monitoring the controls framework
11. Resolving any issues escalated by compliance provider
12. Compliance obligations outside scope of external service provider
13. Technical advice to the business and tax planning
14. Implementing process improvement
15. Business partnering
16. Managing impact of relevant changes in tax legislation
What You'll Bring to the Role:
17. CA/CTA or equivalent qualification essential
18. Previous experience in a similar role
19. Technical knowledge of insurance and financial service industry is preferable but not essential
20. International tax experience
21. Working knowledge of UK & US GAAP
22. Experience of Oracle and OneSource Tax Provision preferable
23. Ability to develop good relationships internally and externally
24. Ability to manage transformational change
25. Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects
