North West – Fire & Security Designer / Estimator
Location: North West
NPG Fire Safety Ltd is seeking a skilled Fire & Security Designer / Estimator to support our continued growth across the North West and beyond.

* BAFE SP203-4 – Design, Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance of Emergency Lighting Systems
* BAFE SP101 – Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers

* NACOSS Gold – Electronic Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarms)

What we offer:
* £40,000 – £45,000 salary (flexible for exceptional candidates)

Key responsibilities:
* Produce accurate and compliant fire and security system designs and estimates, aligned with relevant British Standards and project requirements
* Prepare clear technical and commercial documentation, including drawings, specifications, and quotations
* Provide technical input and support to engineers to ensure smooth project delivery and consistency with design specifications
* Provide technical support and guidance to engineers throughout project delivery
* Ensure timely delivery of estimates and proposals to support client requirements and deadlines
* Collaborate with engineers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth project handover and delivery
* Utilise design and estimating software effectively (Uptick experience preferred)
* Maintain high levels of technical accuracy and commercial awareness across all designs and submissions
What we’re looking for:
* Excellent technical knowledge of relevant British Standards for fire and security systems
* Proven ability to deliver accurate estimates within agreed timeframes
* Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, engineers, and suppliers
* Proficiency in design and estimating software (Uptick experience desirable)
* Ideally based in Cumbria or Lancashire, though Manchester and further afield may be considered, with a willingness to travel
* Remote working may be considered for the right candidate
* Full UK driving licence and the unrestricted right to work in the UK
