What you will be doing
As 'Lead Shop', Engine Overhaul Services aims to optimize overhaul methods and processes to maximize commercial outcomes for Rolls-Royce plc. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager (MEM) for OS&D is responsible for integrating all Manufacturing Engineering activities across the business, leading the team within OS&D (Operational Support & Development) to develop and validate critical repair capabilities for EOS, deployable through the MRO network. You will serve as the Technical Authority, ensuring the capability of production methods to produce conforming products and resolving technical issues to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, and lead time (SQCD) requirements.
You will oversee all Manufacturing Engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle and supply chain.

Key Accountabilities
* HSE: Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with Health, Safety & Environmental Standards, supporting the Zero Harm program.
* Product Safety: Understand and mitigate safety risks, promote a safety culture in the supply chain.
* Quality: Promote a culture of zero defects, support Right First Time manufacturing, and ensure compliance with policies and standards.
* Technical Authority: Specify manufacturing requirements, make technical decisions, and chair change control authorities.
* Requirements & Strategy: Identify improvement opportunities, lead project launches, and contribute to facility and supply chain strategies.
* Planning & Capability: Manage capacity plans, develop and deploy manufacturing capabilities, and ensure process capability.
* Collaboration & Talent Development: Support cross-business collaboration, develop talent, and promote community growth.
* External Relationships: Manage relationships within the supply chain, ensuring requirements are understood and met.
Key Experiences & Qualifications
* UK BEng or equivalent engineering degree; Chartered Engineer (CEng) preferred.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems (CAD, CAM, SAP, etc.).
* Experience leading manufacturing projects and change initiatives.
* Leadership experience in engineering teams.
