The Opportunity
Cardiometabolic and Informatics (CMI), part of ARDx business, is recruiting a Product Manager / Marketing Manager based in Abbott’s Maidenhead office. The role supports SouthWest Europe and LAC regions and involves up to 30% travel.
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for growing the Cardiometabolic portfolio in the region through strategic market approaches, customer engagement, and lead generation in collaboration with sales teams. Building relationships with healthcare stakeholders and strategic partners to identify opportunities and fulfill needs aligned with Abbott's capabilities is key.
Key objectives include:
* Developing targeted marketing campaigns for the pharmacy channel.
* Understanding local market dynamics, customer needs, reimbursement policies, and competitor strategies to create a detailed annual strategic business plan.
* Providing forecasts, business reports, and regional management information.
* Engaging with local opinion leaders to influence market adoption of reimbursement policies.
* Monitoring competitor activities.
* Planning and executing market launches to meet sales and profit targets.
* Participating in congresses, workshops, and scientific events.
* Supporting strategic planning through data analysis to inform organizational priorities and skills development.
Required Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field.
* MBA or master's degree preferred.
* Experience in the pharmacy channel and sales/marketing roles.
* Spanish language skills are a plus.
* Experience in the medical device industry, preferably in a matrix organization.
* Knowledge of diagnostic point-of-care products and healthcare systems.
* Business planning and project management skills.
* Analytical, creative, and operational marketing skills.
* Understanding of sales environments in Europe, Latin America, and Canada.
* Creative thinking and change management abilities.
* People management and coaching skills.
