Excellent opportunity for Network Engineer to be part of our Cloud Infrastructure & Security services practice. Cognizant Infrastructure Services – Provides IT infrastructure & Cloud services for clients across industry verticals, including both Consulting/Professional and Managed Services, across Enterprise Computing, Cloud services, Security Services, DevOps, Data Centres, End User Computing, Service Desk, Network Services and Environment Management Services.
The role will require minimum 4 days working from office.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
* Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal network functionality and reliability.
* Manage network security, including implementing and maintaining firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
* Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and inventory records.
* Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery operations, and ensure network redundancy and business continuity.
* Plan and implement network upgrades and expansions according to organizational needs.
* Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving network-related issues promptly.
* Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and other IT staff to resolve technical problems and coordinate projects.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with organizational IT policies and industry regulations related to network security and privacy.
Required Qualifications
* Proven experience as a network administrator, network engineer, or similar IT role.
* Network Administration, Firewall, Wireless, Switching & Routing Cisco, AWS Networking, Cloud Networks - Cisco Meraki, Load balancing
* Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and network hardware.
* Experience with network security practices, including firewall management and VPN configuration.
* Familiarity with cloud networking, virtualization technologies, and remote access solutions is a plus.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate) are highly desirable.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
